Naltrexone completely prevents the reduction of distance between the anus and reproductive organs in males under prenatal stress (PS) and restores the growth rate of both sexes. Naltrexone also reduced anxiety in PS rats in the cross maze, increasing the measured opioid components to the level of the control group, but increasing anxiety in control males.
